Looking to build your resume and your network in the nation’s capital? The TFAS Washington Fellowship Program hosted by TFAS offers an immersive, transformative spring semester experience to undergraduate students. The program includes housing, academic credit, professional development and behind-the-sense exclusive access to Washington, D.C., institutions and organizations. For more than 55 years, TFAS has been working with undergraduate students to secure internships in Washington, D.C., through our Academic Internship Programs.
The TFAS Washington Fellowship is a comprehensive leadership development and fully funded initiative that immerses 20 undergraduate students in the core concepts of free enterprise and personal liberty. Students selected for this program will:
Live in Washington, D.C.
🛋️ Stay in comfortable, fully-furnished housing situated in the dynamic heart of Washington, D.C., with a community of peers
🔑 Amenities include high speed internet, laundry on site, in-suite bathrooms and private kitchens
🚇 Within walking distance to the Metro, grocery stores + restaurants
Learn from top professors
🎓 Earn 12 academic credits from George Mason University
📚 Take courses are designed to complement your D.C. internship experience by offering a thorough examination of our free enterprise system and the economic way of thinking
Intern in Washington, D.C. and gain real-world experience
🪴Grow your professional network and cultivate your workplace skills with a guided internship hiring process
🥅 Work with dedicated staff to explore internship positions that fit your interests, skills and career goals

- Embassies
- National Press Club

TFAS is a nonprofit with the goal of bringing the country's best and brightest students to D.C. for life-changing programs.

💰 This is a fully funded semester opportunity in Washington, D.C. Fellows will also receive a $1,000 completion stipend.
