
Commercial Sales Development Representative
About this role
This is a ground floor opportunity to be the first Commercial Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Bluescape as we extend our reach to help customers who make, build, and design products of all types.
As the founding SDR, you’ll help shape Bluescape’s go-to-market strategy and expand your professional contacts. You'll have the autonomy to experiment with different approaches and directly impact our sales pipeline development.
• Who you are: A self-driven individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to contribute to the company's continued success
• What you know: You have experience working with makers, builders, and planners. Exposure to Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, and other creative or manufacturing disciplines is a plus. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is ideal.
• Ownership: You’ll be owning the early stages of Bluescape’s Commercial sales pipeline—identifying, generating, and qualifying future customers
• Location: This is a WFH position, and you will be remotely supported by Bluescape executive leadership in Sales, Marketing, and Product.
• Salary Range: The reasonably estimated salary range includes a $60K–$75K Base Salary + $20K–$35K Bonus. Final compensation package will be based on an individual’s qualifications and experience.
What you’ll be owning
You’ll own the earliest phases of our Commercial outbound sales process—targeting accounts, engaging prospects, and qualifying leads. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role focused on quality pipeline generation. You'll work directly with the CEO and management team to craft strategy, break into new accounts, and help define what outbound looks like when you're creating a category—not following one.
What you’ll be doing
• Building Commercial outbound campaigns via LinkedIn, email and other tools
• Researching and identifying new accounts that align with our Commercial ICP
• Engaging inbound and outbound leads by phone to uncover customer pain points, identify where Bluescape can drive impact, and hand off qualified, high-potential opportunities to AEs
• Managing our CRM to keep data clean and actionable
• Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership on pipeline strategy
• Contributing ideas, systems, and outbound experiments—and learn fast from the results
• Reporting on key metrics and suggesting improvements to outreach strategy
Requirements
• 0–2 years of proven ability to identify and generate leads (sales, recruiting, customer success, or something similar)
• Strong communicator with natural curiosity and confidence
• Relentlessly resourceful—you figure things out and take initiative
• Not afraid of cold outreach or rejection
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and generate leads without relying solely on existing pipeline support
• Exposure to Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, and other creative or manufacturing disciplines is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is ideal.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn, CRM tools, and outbound prospecting workflows
