Interim Principal – Violet Avenue Elementary School
Available Immediately – Until Permanent Candidate is Appointed
The Hyde Park Central School District seeks an experienced and dynamic Interim Elementary School Principal to lead Violet Avenue Elementary School. This full-time administrative role involves providing leadership, supervision, and administration of a comprehensive, equitable elementary program that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.
Minimum Requirement:
- Prior experience as an elementary school principal
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Experience engaging and supporting English Language Learner (ELL) families
- Valid New York State administrative certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership aligned with the District’s mission, vision, and strategic plan
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive school climate for students, staff, and families
- Oversee curriculum, instruction, and assessment to promote academic excellence
- Support staff development and evaluation to enhance instructional practice
- Engage families and community partners to strengthen school–community connections
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policies and regulations
- Manage resources, operations, and facilities effectively
