The Worship Resident at United City Church will be responsible for growing in spiritual leadership, worship leading, creative planning, and production under the direction of the Worship Pastor. They will assist in the development and implementation of worship across all UC environments (Sunday Morning, UCY , UC Kids, Young Adults, etc.). This includes collaborating on set lists, rehearsals, worship nights, events, and Sunday production. The apprentice will gain experience in team leadership, technical tools (Ableton, Planning Center, etc.), creative planning, and pastoral ministry while being spiritually mentored throughout the process.

The Worship Pastor will serve as a coach in your development, providing spiritual guidance, technical mentorship, feedback, and increasing levels of leadership responsibility.

Essential Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will primarily be, but not limited to, providing support to the Worship Pastor in these core responsibilities:

• Work in concert with the Worship Pastor and UC Staff to support the vision and direction
• Coordinate worship team, equally dividing responsibilities to improve productivity
• Manage agenda, details, events and appointments pertaining to UC Worship
• Maintain Worship Pastor’s calendar, schedule meetings, conferences, retreats, etc.
• Assist in planning and preparing materials for retreats, events, and other meetings
• Manage emails, letters, packages, phone calls, PCO and other forms of correspondence
• Oversee the upkeep of PCO services, meetings and maintain the stage layout each week
• Maintain all worship spaces; organize environments and upkeep/replace equipment
• Assist the worship department whenever there is an opportunity to do so
• Assist in the planning and preparing outside worship opportunities
• Attend and assist in the worship set planning for Next Gen Worship environments
• Assist in the recording of vocal sectionals when and if needed
• Schedule the Next Gen worship environments
• Provide additional support to Creative Department as needed
• Oversee and lead the UCYA worship team practices and services
• Support administratively and creatively for United City Church events
• All other duties as assigned
• Administer onboarding process for all new worship team members
• Supervise and assist in the development of our team and services
