Guerilla-Style Campus Reporter Intern
FRONTRUNNER Magazine is now accepting Internships for FALL/WINTER 2025-2026. This is a six-week internship. We welcome submissions from artists, musicians, filmmakers, graphic designers, web developers, social media savvies and marketing mavens who want to cut their teeth with an international arts and culture publication.
FRONTRUNNER began as a gallery on Franklin Street in New York in 2009. It evolved into a multimedia platform highlighting young and emerging artists via online interviews and photo essays.
Now, FRONTRUNNER Media is a hybrid platform that provides visibility for artists, entrepreneurs, startup businesses, commercial galleries, nonprofit organizations and corporate branding. Our target audience is reflective of our stories and content: students, young graduates and new audiences who might not otherwise have been exposed to contemporary visual arts, emergent music and film, and pioneering books, literature and live performance.
FRONTRUNNER is recruiting a bold, fearless guerilla-style reporter for our original series, Live! Emerging Arts on Campus. We want someone to hit the ground running at live gigs, festivals, premieres and events: see people, snap their photo, get their Instagram handles, ask them questions that keep them guessing in a fast-paced, mini-interview. This is not your mom’s New York Times Magazine photoshoot. This is mile-a-minute, on-the-fly capture of the most interesting, the most outrageous, the most fascinating creatures seen out around town. For this unique opportunity to sharpen your own personality and stamina, only the boldest will survive.
All successful candidates may be considered for continuing work with the magazine after the completion of the internship.
