Marketing & Internet Culture Research Assistant
Think you’re always two steps ahead of the internet?
If your friends come to you and ask you to explain something they saw on their FYP, you’ve already memed something before it hits Twitter, and you can spot a viral moment in the making, this is your calling.
The Role
We’re looking for a Marketing & Culture Research Assistant who’s obsessed with what’s next on the internet. You’ll be our go-to for spotting trends before they hit the mainstream, finding the next breakout creator, and understanding why something blows up online.
If your FYP is weird in the best way possible, you’re always early to a meme, and you can tell when an influencer’s about to take off, you’ll feel right at home here.
What You’ll Do
- Research emerging internet trends, cultural shifts, and subcultures before they break big.
- Identify and forecast rising influencers, niches, and content formats.
- Conduct outreach and negotiate with creators and influencers for collaborations.
- Build data-backed reports to support your findings and help forecast opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
- Deep familiarity with internet culture, especially brainrot memes and niche communities.
- A natural instinct for understanding what makes something go viral.
- Strong research and communication skills.
- Comfort with outreach, negotiation, and building creator relationships.
- Bonus points if you already have a track record of finding talent or trends before everyone else.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Work directly with top-tier brands and high-profile talent.
- Gain experience in trend forecasting, influencer marketing, and cultural strategy.
- Be part of a team that moves fast, experiments often, and thrives on creative chaos.
How to Apply
In your cover letter, please share 3–5 niche or weird things you currently find fascinating on your TikTok or Instagram FYP. These could be accounts, memes, microtrends, brainrot content, or anything you think deserves more attention.
Cover letters that read like they were written by ChatGPT or any other AI will be immediately excluded from consideration.
