WHO WE ARE:

The Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) is an executive branch agency within the State of Georgia. Through the Department’s State Purchasing Division (SPD), SPD oversees the procurement functions for the State of Georgia and manages all policies related to procurement. 

Audit Team (1 intern): The audit team conducts audits and continuous monitoring of state entities and suppliers doing business with the State. We are seeking a student enrolled in a graduate program in Public Administration or Political Science. For this project, the intern will use Tableau Desktop to create workbooks, visualizations and dashboards. This internship will allow the intern to become very familiar with Tableau Desktop as well as many aspects of state purchasing activities and the various systems used in the purchasing life cycle. The intern should be very confident working with analytical software and large spreadsheets, have an intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel, and also be interested in data analytics and collecting, analyzing, and sorting through data. This internship requires the ability to work independently and the ability to troubleshoot, and work through, the challenges of a virtual environment. 

Entry Qualifications: Student enrolled in a Georgia high school, technical college, or university/college. Must be currently enrolled during the internship.

Paid Internship: $15 an hour

Placements: Up to 1 placement

Commitment: No more than 29 hours per week. Project duration: until May 2026.
