Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Receptionist, also known as a Patient Success Advocate, to join our team at Idaho Spine and Sports Physical Therapy. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and efficient assistance throughout their interaction with our clinic. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service, streamlining administrative processes, and contributing to the overall success of our clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Check-In and Check-Out
- Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Facilitate the check-in process, ensuring accurate patient information and documentation.
- Manage patient appointments, scheduling, and follow-up visits.
- Coordinate patient check-out, collect payments, and provide receipts as needed.
Appointment Coordination:
- Effectively manage appointment scheduling to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary instructions.
- Address patient inquiries and requests related to appointments, insurance, and treatment plans.
Patient Advocacy and Communication:
- Act as a patient success advocate by ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for all patients.
- Assist patients in completing required forms and medical history questionnaires.
- Provide information about clinic services, treatment options, and insurance coverage.
- Maintain open communication channels between patients, therapists, and medical staff.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate patient records and updated electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and mail.
Clinic Operations:
- Collaborate with therapists and medical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assist with maintaining a tidy and organized reception area.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant clinic environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus.
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist, customer service representative, or similar role preferred.
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and general office software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Empathy and compassion when dealing with patients and their needs.
Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time; option for Part-Time
Salary: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
