Marketing Coordinator: Community Engagement & Business Development Specialist

Join our team as a Community Engagement & Business Development Specialist – Insurance Industry. where you’ll be at the forefront of growing our insurance agency through dynamic B2B networking, grassroots community engagement, and engaging event planning.

In this multifaceted role, you’ll leverage your skills in relationship-building, social media management, and event coordination to increase brand visibility, create meaningful connections within the community, and drive lead generation efforts that support our sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement & Event Management:

  • Plan, organize, and orchestrate local grassroots community events to generate leads and strengthen agency presence.      (8 Events per month)
  • Lead and manage the “Thomson Team” intern program to support event execution and community outreach initiatives.
  • Develop sponsorships and partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and influencers.
  • Represent the agency at B2B networking events and build relationships with referral partners and centers of influence.

Lead Generation & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales agents to align marketing efforts with business goals, ensuring effective lead follow-up and conversion.
  • Track lead-generation efforts and analyze results to optimize future outreach strategies.
  • This will be a primary focus of this role and will have specific quotas and incentives for lead generation through the community events and b2b networking.


Social Media & Digital Marketing:

  • Assist in managing our agency’s presence on social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) through engaging content and consistent posting.
  • Monitor online reviews (Google, etc.) and encourage positive feedback to enhance brand reputation.
  • Create compelling digital marketing campaigns and collateral using tools like Canva, Mailchimp, or similar platforms.

  • Creative & Organized: Experience in event planning, community engagement, branding, or marketing.
  • Social Media Savvy: Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Self-Starter: Proactive, independent, and able to take initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative: Comfortable working closely with sales agents and interns to achieve shared goals.
  • Data Driven:  Understand the use of data in marketing to track progress and develop strategy plans for future marketing endeavors
  • Great Personality:  act as an ambassador for our “good neighbor” program and uphold our ‘white glove customer service’ and brand voice and position.

Requirements:

  • Previous B2b and/or event experience a plus!
  • Must be able to make in-person and phone business calls to establish relationships
  • Ability to research, establish, and maintain various B2B relationships
  • Familiarity with social media and marketing initiatives to promote our office brand
  • Car for transportation to community & network events
  • Digital marketing experience is a big plus! (SEO, GBP, Online Presence)
