Operations & Office Associate

Overview
The Operations & Office Associate is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Little Free Library. This individual is accountable for accurately packing and shipping daily orders received through the online store, supporting the funding and mission of the nonprofit organization. This role oversees inventory management for products and office supplies, maintains and organizes storage areas, and supports general office operations. The position will serve as an integral part of the Operations team - working to ensure the highest level of quality, efficiency, and productivity of fulfillment functions are achieved.

Duties

  • Manage the packing and shipping of Little Free Library products and specialty items
  • Maintain spreadsheet templates, formulas, and macros
  • Process daily orders including preparing spreadsheets and packing slips
  • Manage inventory for all products and office supplies in a clean and organized fashion
  • Execute all incoming and outgoing shipping activities for products - ensuring accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
  • Prepare and send fulfillment documents to suppliers
  • Process damages and returns
  • Participate in internal system technical problem solving to include determining cause, recommending solution and following up to ensure resolution
  • Sort mail and process incoming payments and donations
  • Respond to routine customer service emails and phone calls
  • General warehouse duties as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned

Experience

  • Microsoft Excel skills, experience with Visual Basic for Applications a plus.
  • Experience working with a variety of technology platforms including but not limited to: Google Apps, Microsoft Office, Salesforce (or other CRM), shipping programs, and e-commerce programs.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving, and working within an office setting.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $20.00-$22.00 per hour.
