Job Description
Locally Inspired is seeking a creative and driven Social Media & Content Writer Intern to help develop and execute our social media strategy and content across platforms. The goal is to grow brand awareness, engage with our community, and drive both in-store and online traffic. This role will involve researching current trends, building a consistent brand voice, and creating compelling content that reflects the values of Locally Inspired.
You’ll work closely with the founder and team to ideate, schedule, and publish content, as well as help manage our digital presence across Instagram, Facebook, and email.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Excellent writing skills with a flair for storytelling and brand voice
- Passion for social media, content development, and supporting local businesses
- Familiarity with platforms such as Instagram and Facebook
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop fresh and engaging content ideas
- Comfortable using Canva, Google Drive, and Meta Business Suite for scheduling
- Self-motivated and resourceful with great time-management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Education
Pursuing or holding a degree in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, business, or a related field from a university or technical college.

Position & Application Requirements
- Must have your own computer and internet access
- Willing to use Google Drive and project management tools for collaboration
- Availability to attend weekly check-ins (virtual or in-person, depending on schedule)
- Must be located within driving distance of Port Washington, WI
