Work Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist in the creation of social media content (bonus points if you love Canva or memes)
  • Help build, test, and track email campaigns that don’t make people hit “unsubscribe”
  • Gain practical experience using our customer engagement platform 
  • Learn the basics of SEO and help us optimize like pros
  • Brainstorm like your life depends on it (creativity welcomed)
  • Explore the wonders of AI in marketing
  • Support real projects with real impact—and real deadlines
  • Pitch in where needed—we’re a team, and that’s how we roll
  • Perform other duties as assigned, we’ll keep it interesting (and mostly within your job description)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must be a sophomore or higher pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Webpage Design, Digital Media, Computer Software and Media Application, or something creative-strategic
  • Must love to learn, ask questions, and get stuff done
  • Curiosity and a sense of humor = highly preferred

 

Preferred Skills and Expectations

  • Strong writing and communication skills (grammar nerds welcomed - AI support approved!)
  • Comfortable with Canva, Instagram, LinkedIn, or YouTube (you don’t need to be a guru, but know your hashtags)
  • Interest in analytics, SEO, or marketing automation tools
  • Positive attitude and “let’s figure it out” mindset
  • Creative thinker with a willingness to try new things
  • Ability to work both independently and in a group brainstorm fueled by snacks
  • Must not be afraid of deadlines or Google Docs

 

Physical demands

This position requires performing tasks that involve constant sitting and keyboarding. This means you'll be working at a computer for extended periods, so maintaining good posture and taking regular breaks to stretch and move around will be important.

 

Working Conditions

Indoors, with occasional excitement over video shoots, product samples, or office celebrations.

 

Additional Notes 

  • No travel is required for this position
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • While travel within Storm Lake is self-managed, housing assistance is available for candidates relocating to Storm Lake
