Digital Content Intern
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The responsibilities and duties of the Digital Content Intern – Media Curation include, but are not limited to:
Creating digital assets from physical media
Ingesting physical image assets into digital libraries and preparing physical assets for long-term storage
Authoring processes and workflows for digital asset creation and management and identifying areas for improvement
Creating assets for multiple platforms, including internal and external web properties, social media, and digital signage; and creating assets for districts and departments—utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Express, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Premiere Pro, and other content management tools as needed
Organizing existing assets so they can be managed efficiently and to ensure consistency in use of logo/branding—utilizing Adobe Bridge, standard naming and filing conventions, and other tools
Utilizing Digital Content ticketing system for tracking, content creation, and workflow management
Attending meetings and trainings as directed by Cal Water
Performing other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma
- Full-time student in a 4-year program, working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in graphic design, digital media, or similar field and/or equivalent
- Full-time student in library/information science program preferred
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Able to plan, organize, prioritize, and multitask
- Valid California Driver License
