
Marketing Manager
JOB TITLE: Marketing Manager Reports To: Workforce & Member Relations Director
Employment: Hourly Position, Full Time - 40+ hours per week
Pay Scale: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
GOALS OF POSITION:
The Marketing Manager is a crucial position within the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce (HOW). This position is responsible for leading the chamber of commerce efforts with all marketing efforts. This position is also responsible for maintaining relationships with the media and regular ad submission. This position reports directly to the HOW Workforce & Member Relations Director.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Produce key marketing materials, ads and regular communication, as well as develop new ideas to continue growing the HOW communication.
- Regular marketing/communication
- All updates/postings to the website including but not limited to: posting press releases, events, adding sponsors to events.
- All social media posts including but not limited to; adding events, updates, photos from events and programs.
- All emails via constant contact to promote HOW’s events and programs including but not limited to; events, job postings, programs, new program/event implementation.
- Design and market all flyers for HOW Chamber and Incubator events and programs included but not limited to:
- Schedule Biz Blasts for new members.
- Member of the Month
- Small Business Showcase
- Community Folder
- Monthly Newsletter
- Business Spotlight Series
- Curb front Marketing
- Assists with events as needed
- Submits ads to newspapers
- Speak at WFHR radio bi-weekly to promote HOW’s events and programs
- Attend Networking at Night on a rotating basis
- Prospect meetings on an as-needed basis
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will assist in managing the Chamber of Commerce budget for specific marketing/communication areas.
- Will work closely with the HOW Chamber team and president regarding interaction with local, regional, and national media for specific events.
- Must be able to effectively interact with the HOW staff, boards, members, community leaders, elected officials, university officials, existing businesses, HOW members, and volunteers that are essential in carrying out the mission of the HOW.
- Bringing to the attention of the Workforce Director trends, incidents, actions, and events that affect the membership/business community/organization.
- Engage in a continuing program of self-improvement and keep up to date with trends in the fields of Chamber organizations and communications.
- Other duties will be required as assigned by the HOW Workforce Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Associate degree in marketing, business, graphic design or a related field preferred.
Experience
Requirements also include a minimum of one year in a related field such as marketing, public relations, or non-profit experience.

- Be able to work flexible hours, including some early mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Be available for after-hours and weekend events.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive
- Proficient in graphic design products such as Canva, InDesign, etc.
