 THHA Marketing Intern 

Marketing Intern – Terre Haute Housing Authority 

Location: 2001 N. 19th St, Terre Haute, IN 47804 

Position Type: Internship (Part-Time, Flexible Hours) 

Reports To:  Director of Operations

 

About the Role 

The Terre Haute Housing Authority (THHA) is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful community-driven work while gaining real-world marketing experience in the public sector. The intern will work closely with THHA leadership and a contracted marketing agency to implement strategic marketing initiatives designed to enhance public engagement, increase awareness, and support THHA’s mission to provide quality housing solutions. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

● Support Campaign Execution: Assist with the rollout of marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, print, and community outreach). 

● Content Creation: Collaborate with agency and internal stakeholders to develop engaging content for social media, newsletters, press releases, and the THHA website. 

● Community Engagement: Help coordinate local events, town halls, or promotional initiatives aimed at increasing resident and community participation. 

● Analytics & Reporting: Track and compile data on marketing campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Insights, or other reporting platforms. 

● Asset Management: Organize and maintain the marketing asset library (photos, flyers, brand templates, etc.). 

● Cross-Team Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the THHA team and the external marketing agency to ensure alignment and timely execution of initiatives. 

● Market Research: Conduct research on housing trends, community needs, and audience behavior to inform strategy and content. 

 

Qualifications 

● Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field. 

● Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

● Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). 

● Basic understanding of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is a plus. 

● Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment. 

● Interest in public service, community development, or affordable housing is highly encouraged.
