Part Time Legal Intern

Part Time Legal Intern - Fall Semester
Jennifer L Bennett Law Group is thrilled to announce our Part-time Internship Program for undergraduate students looking to gain experience working part-time in an immigration law firm. This program offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations of a law firm that focuses on pristine customer service, a warm environment, and creative solutions to immigration and family law needs.

Duration: Position open now and until December 2025

Schedule: Flexible/Part Time

Application Deadline: August  15th, 2025

Compensation: $16.60/Hr

Opportunities:

Learn from experienced paralegals, attorneys, and legal administrative staff.
Real-world legal experience in a supportive, positive environment.
Opportunities to observe daily firm operations, including in-person client interactions.
Explore niche areas of immigration and family law to grow in understanding of personal interest for future study and focus.

 

What You Will Do:

-Gain experience with daily operations by assisting with picking up/sending off documents, photos, etc.
-Learn client case/document best practices by filing client documents in case folders, scanning documents, assembling packets, etc.
-Gain proficiency in mail intake and processing, scanning daily mail.
-Grow in mentorship by supporting paralegals and legal assistants with additional case-specific tasks.
-Assist with team-building activities and events.


Qualifications:

-Current college student with a passion for legal studies, preferably immigration law.
-Strong academic record and work history with history of meeting and exceeding assignment goals and metrics.
-Excellent communication and writing skills.
-Ability to work part-time in our office for the duration of the internship.
-An independent, solution-oriented worker who is comfortable working with new people.
-Preference will be to bilingual applicants fluent in Spanish or Mongolian.
