Account Manager

Rote Oil, Ltd. is a wholesaler of both branded and unbranded fuel products for BP, Amoco, Exxon, and Mobil. The Dealer Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining account relationships with dealer and retail customers. With other areas of focus including supporting the dealer and retail customer, mystery shops, aiding in the relationship with the sales representative and the customer. This job will be spent traveling to dealer locations.



 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support Dealer/Retail operations through implementation of operational programs offered by each brand and the industry.
  • Retain current dealer business by developing strong relationships through the understanding of the retailer business challenges.
  • Handle all dealer complaints and make sure they are addressed with their sales representative in a timely manner to ensure highest standards of customer service are met.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all brand programs and image standards offered by each brand.
  • Programs and standards will include but are not limited to: Marketing & Advertising, Convenience Store Operations, Brand Development Offerings, Branded Personnel Relationships, Visual Image Standards, Equipment Programs and Changes, Mystery Shopper Programs, POS/Accounts Updates
  • Maintain knowledge of convenience and petroleum industry to best assist with questions and concerns.
  • Have an informed understanding of legislative and governmental regulations that have will affect the petroleum and convenience store industries.
  • Be aware of each dealers business and understand changes in their business.
  • Thorough understanding of each dealer’s contract terms and conditions.
  • Maintain strong business relations with brand sales managers and all brand support personnel.
  • Attend conferences, and trade shows as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

 

 Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Be able to adapt to change easily.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must have reliable vehicle for travel.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years related experience required. 3-5 years of experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of driving.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
