Coordinator for MLSS, Data, and Assessment

Position Summary:

This position has primary responsibility for leading the Multi-Layered Systems of Support (MLSS) and interpretation of Federal, State, and District-level data and assessments. Other roles include: supporting the implementation of MLSS systems, maintaining records of local assessment and survey results, assisting with reconciling student data and achievement accounts with the State Data System, serving as District Assessment Coordinator for State and local testing, and facilitating professional development for district staff on the use of a data warehouse and data visualization tools.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Experience:  Minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in Multi-Layered Systems of Support, universal instructional practices, evidence-based interventions, and using data-based decision making
  • Expertise Required:  Advanced skills in office productivity and data analytics tools
  • Expertise with database programs similar to the District’s data and management systems
  • Professional Learning: Continuing development of professional skills, knowledge, and willingness to share expertise with colleagues.
  • Bilingual - Spanish/English Preferred

 

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee Multi-Layered Systems of Support 
    Systems integration of academic layers of support
    Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning Team
    Collaborate with Academic Interventionists and Psychologists
    Collaborate with Social-Emotional Learning Coordinator
  • Oversee application of data for teaching, learning, and continuous improvement
  • Coordination of internal and external information and communications, such as mail, bulletins, and electronic notifications
  • Development of positive, supportive relationships with all stakeholders in the building and district (faculty, technology staff, etc.)
  • Coordinates District-level systems-related projects 
  • Plans and coordinates student assessment and progress monitoring across all schools
  • Facilitates review of student achievement and growth data with administrative team members.
  • Analyzes student data and shares with stakeholders, including the Board of Education
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning or Directors of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
