2025-26 Coordinator Enrichment-Strings Coordinator-Laurel Elementary School
The Laurel Strings Enrichment Coordinator will lead our school's opt-in lottery selected strings program of approximately 150 students, including by providing small group lessons, managing the inventory of our instruments, and producing both a Fall and Spring semester concert. Our strings program is primarily a violin program, and additional learning and performance opportunities are possible. Creative thinking and ideas from the Coordinator are encouraged. Our shared community goal is to increase access and exposure to the violin and other string instruments for all students.
Pay Range: $21.24-$23.79 (min – 12% above min)/hr based on qualifications and experience*
Hours/day: 6.5
Work calendar days: 185

SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordinating the Enrichment Program that provides extra-curricular/after-school programming and supplemental classes to gifted and talented, special education and at-risk students, including scheduling, planning and evaluating programs, assisting with course development and instruction and performing administrative functions related to the program.
JOB TASKS:
1. Schedule, plan and evaluate programs, including surveying students, staff and parents.
2. Assist with developing course content, format and structure; preparing lesson plans; selecting/placing students; and delivering instruction.
3. Direct and manage paraprofessionals, volunteers, licensed staff and classified staff in afterhours program.
4. Collect and sign time cards.
5. Collect, manage, maintain and report data, including grant information, attendance, enrollment, etc.
6. Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
7. Manage program budget, write grants and create grant reports.
8. Subscribe to commercialized educational programs and implement usage with appropriate age level.
9. Send appropriate news of student achievements to local/district media and parent newsletters.
10. Purchase materials for programs.
11. Attend appropriate inservices, building meetings, training, parent conferences and/or school functions.
12. Manage fundraising programs.
13. Attend conferences and may serve on boards.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree
• One to two years of related experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
• Criminal background check required for hire
