
Lab Technician
About the Role:
Colanar (Deep River, CT) is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our manufacturing team.
This is an entry-level, part-time role with flexible hours—ideal for students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals seeking hands-on experience in a cleanroom environment. The position offers 20–25 hours per week and can be structured as a contract-to-permanent opportunity or internship with potential for permanent full-time position, depending on your availability and career goals.
The Lab Technician plays a critical role in assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging single-use assemblies within a controlled manufacturing environment. Precision, consistency, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble components according to technical drawings, batch records, and internal procedures
- Inspect products and packaging to ensure quality and integrity standards are met
- Accurately label and document production activities for traceability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with QA personnel to address and resolve non-conformities
- Operate tools and equipment in accordance with safety protocols
- Adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and cleanroom regulations
- 20-25 hours/week (part-time)
- Comfortable routinely wearing a hair net and cleanroom suit as part of daily responsibilities
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to perform repetitive, detail-oriented tasks
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work safely around manufacturing equipment and chemicals
- Comfortable reading and writing in English for documentation purposes
- No prior experience required — we’ll provide training
