Marketing Intern

  1. POSITION OBJECTIVE

                               

Position Summary

The Marketing Intern will work in tandem with and under the direction of the IEF Marketing Manager to strategize, develop, and execute key marketing initiatives. Areas of focus will align with candidate’s skillset and interests, including but not limited to: market research, trade shows/event marketing, customer surveying, digital/content marketing, and social media marketing. Opportunities exist to work on new projects according to the applicant’s interests – the ideal candidate is a creative self-starter who will bring new ideas to the table.

 

This position is temporary with potential for full-time employment based on performance and fit.

 

Internship Length: 3 months

 

40 hours/week

 

Pay Range: $20 - $25/hour

 

Location: On-site at an IEF facility or remote

 

What’s in it for you?

The Marketing Intern will develop their hard and soft B2B marketing skillset by owning, designing, and implementing new and existing marketing projects under the supervision and with support from the Marketing Manager. The Marketing Intern will gain valuable working knowledge of how marketing operates and collaborates with other departments in a cross-functional manufacturing setting, working directly with Sales, Technical, and Business Development to support overall divisional goals. The position will also benefit from the opportunity to present to and receive feedback from senior management and leadership.

 

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate is a creative, motivated self-starter with an interest in B2B marketing and/or manufacturing (background in plastics is a plus), who is looking to develop their skillset through hands-on experience and gain valuable working knowledge of the role marketing plays within a large manufacturing company.

 

 

  1. QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • B2B marketing experience or relevant coursework, including market research.
  • Digital marketing (website, social media, email) experience.
  • Knowledge of survey best practices.
  • Relevant coursework or experience in conducting market research including SWOT analysis, market segmentation, defining marketing trends, competitor analysis, etc.
  • Creative skills a plus – video editing, flyer/brochure/infographic design, photoshop/graphic design.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working proactively and independently.
