LeadingAge New York, a statewide membership association representing over 350 not-for-profit and public long term care providers, is seeking an intern for its Advocacy and Public Policy Department to support our team and help advance advocacy efforts. The intern will support the Policy team by assisting with bill tracking, organizing meetings, coordinating with legislative offices, and drafting advocacy materials and policy-related social media content.  All activities will pertain to the advocacy and policy work relevant to LeadingAge NY member organizations who provide healthcare and housing for older adults and individuals living with disabilities. 

 

Preferred qualifications include excellent writing skills, organizational skills, and the ability to make appointments and coordinate with offices via phone and email. The Policy Intern will also work as part of our broader Policy Team, in a highly collaborative, friendly and professional environment.   Experience with Canva, Constant Contact or general website editing, and professional use of social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn, BlueSky and other platforms is a plus.  

Seeking a two-semester commitment for internship; late September to late June, approximately. Potential start date September 22nd, but flexible. 16 to 20 hours per week.  Remote/hybrid work available.
