About this job:
Installs, repairs and performs skilled licensed maintenance on District HVAC systems (e.g., water and air cooled chillers, cooling towers, and roof top DX AHUs).

What You'll Do:
- Repairs and installs HVAC equipment; installs HVAC systems, rigging heavy loads and coordinating with other shop staff; fabricates, repairs, and installs HVAC system fittings, registers, venting, pipe fittings.
- Diagnoses repairs; modifies and performs repairs using blueprints and schematics and considering building codes and standards.
- Prepares and cleans up the job site, taking into consideration safety concerns of self and others, and disposes of waste and flammable materials.
- Calibrates and installs pneumatic, electrical, and electronic controls made by different manufacturers.
- Operates tools and equipment for combustion controls.
- Reviews work orders, prioritizes, and determines supplies for repair and purchases supplies using the District purchase order system.
- Performs work and cross trains in at least one other trade, as an apprentice.
- Assists with snow removal efforts on a 24 hour on-call basis and responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of four (4) years experience (District-specific training or equivalent required for all levels.)
- Valid C.F.C. license and Journeyman Refrigeration Operator Certificate.
- Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet District insurability standards.
