About this job:

 Installs, repairs and performs skilled licensed maintenance on District HVAC systems (e.g., water and air cooled chillers, cooling towers, and roof top DX AHUs).

 What You'll Do:

  •  Repairs and installs HVAC equipment; installs HVAC systems, rigging heavy loads and coordinating with other shop staff; fabricates, repairs, and installs HVAC system fittings, registers, venting, pipe fittings.
  • Diagnoses repairs; modifies and performs repairs using blueprints and schematics and considering building codes and standards.
  • Prepares and cleans up the job site, taking into consideration safety concerns of self and others, and disposes of waste and flammable materials.
  • Calibrates and installs pneumatic, electrical, and electronic controls made by different manufacturers.
  • Operates tools and equipment for combustion controls.
  • Reviews work orders, prioritizes, and determines supplies for repair and purchases supplies using the District purchase order system.
  • Performs work and cross trains in at least one other trade, as an apprentice.
  • Assists with snow removal efforts on a 24 hour on-call basis and responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
     

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience (District-specific training or equivalent required for all levels.)
  • Valid C.F.C. license and Journeyman Refrigeration Operator Certificate.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet District insurability standards.
