Business Development Representative
OPEXUS + Casepoint, a leading provider in regulatory compliance software, is adding to our Business Development team to help generate new business opportunities and drive growth for our software offerings. The Business Development Representatives are a key component of our Go-to-Market team and will work closely with marketing and sales to drive the sales process from start to finish.
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving growth for our software products across a variety of markets. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing new leads, building relationships with key buyers and decision-makers, and driving the sales process. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to create and execute targeted campaigns (including crafting emails, cold calling, and leveraging social media and in-person events).
Though you will be joining a fast-paced, technology-forward company, our BDR team must balance speed-to-lead with personalized outreach and rapport-building to foster quality relationship-driven sales interactions. We are looking for talented, goal-oriented individuals who are passionate about helping customers work more efficiently, powered by the right technology. Ideal candidates are self-starters, excellent communicators, detail-oriented, success-oriented, and fast learners.

Location: In-Office Twice a Week in Washington, DC + Hybrid Telework
General Roles & Responsibilities:
- Proactively research, identify, and reach out to potential clients through cold calling, email campaigns, social selling, and other outbound methods.
- Schedule discovery calls for Account Executives.
- Meet or exceed weekly/monthly KPIs, including outreach volume, meetings booked, and qualified opportunities generated.
- Qualify and follow-up with inbound leads based on ideal customer personas in an efficient manner.
- Develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns to drive awareness and interest in our software solutions.
- Track individual performance and maintain accurate records of all interactions and activities in the CRM system (Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target accounts.
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to maximize lead generation and conversion opportunities.
- Attend industry events and conferences to build relationships and stay up to date on industry trends.
Qualifications: Skills Required:
- (Preferred) 1-2 years of experience in software sales, business development, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
- Comfortable making cold calls and engaging with prospects.
- Keen ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams; ability to prioritize and manage a large number of leads and multiple campaign motions at once.
- Highly organized with good time management, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Proven track record of delivering compelling sales pitches, achieving sales targets, and driving business growth.
- Experience using CRM software and sales engagement tools is a plus.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset and a drive to exceed goals.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree – Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
