We are currently looking for an outgoing, dedicated, detailed-oriented, sales-oriented, tech-savvy Territory Development Manager (Homestay Recruiter & Coordinator) to help build our portfolio of Host Families in Massachusetts & Rhode Island!

Key Responsibilities

Homestay Recruitment: Assist in the recruitment of new Host Families to the APEX Home Stay Program. Recruitment/Sales responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Grow (recruit) and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of Host Families within an assigned territory. Find and cultivate
  • Utilize various marketing/sales tools, resources and strategies (including social media, yard signs, flyers/door hangers, Host Family Referral Program, etc.) to successfully bring interest and new Host Families to APEX's Homestay
  • Identify, coordinate and attend marketing/recruitment events (ie. school open houses, community events, town halls, etc.) in an effort to attract new Host Families.
  • Verify and complete required reporting in CRM system, such as details of potential Host Family responses and any follow through actions needed. Efficiently enter data into CRM, Salesforce and Excel, maintaining accurate and up-to -date records. Follow up on leads daily, calling on prospective Host Families, and sharing the benefits of becoming an APEX Host
  • Maintain positive relationships with existing Host Families, building a strong and active referral base. Develop additional partnerships with school, community and business leaders to optimize existing channels of Host Family referrals and establish new opportunities within the territory.

 

Homestay Coordination & Administration: Responsible for vetting all potential Host Family leads, accurately tracking status of potential Host Families, coordinating the completion of all onboarding and matching processes of the Host Family prior to the arrival of students and coordinating mid-year student moves and temporary placements. Coordination and Administrative responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and conduct thorough Home Visits (virtual and in-person). Once satisfactorily completed, move qualified Host Families efficiently and effectively thorough the vetting process to ensure a safe, caring and reliable housing option for the
  • Work closely with Student Coordinators, Host Families and others to ensure a smooth transition for the
  • Complete all boarding processes of the matched Host Family before the student arrives in the Host Family household and coordinate the successful movement of the student to the matched Host
  • Coordinate mid-year student moves and temporary
  • Exhibit thorough knowledge of Host Family recruitment process and ensure continuous understanding and compliance with all standards, policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business administration or project management a plus.
  • 5+ years sales experience and the proven ability to cultivate leads within a territory required.
  • Previous work experience in the recruitment of Host Families and/or the coordination of placement of international students with Host Families is highly preferred.
  • Manage and grow a designated territory by identifying and targeting new business opportunities. Utilize Salesforce to effectively communicate with potential Host Families. Conduct research and cold calling to generate leads and build a strong pipeline of prospects.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to potential Host Families. Proven ability to research and identify potential Host Families through various channels. Excellent cold calling skills to engage prospects and generate interest in our Homestay.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast- paced environment.
  • 5+ years of proven administrative and/or project management experience. Must be able to efficiently and effectively handle all administrative aspects of the role with a high degree of accuracy. Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Prior experience with Salesforce (or other CRM software) preferred. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and presentation skills required.
  • Must be able to work through issues and problem-solve independently with minimal oversight and supervision, while also being able to work successfully in a team.
  • Be the point-person of all phases of the Host Family recruitment, vetting and student placement process. Responsible, reliable individual who takes ownership for outcomes and takes pride in work
  • Willingness to travel extensively to, around and within assigned territories: Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Flexibility to work regular evenings and occasional weekends (ie in-person or virtual house visits, host family recruitment calls, new host family orientations, coordinate and participate in school/community events, etc.)
  • Ability to build strong relationships within designated territories and can independently advertise and recruit Host Family leads through school and community events. Excellent people and presentation skills.
  • Must have a valid Driver's license, own reliable transportation and be willing to travel up to 25% of the time. Proximity to assigned territories preferred.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Base Salary: $50,000-$55,000 per year (DOE in Sales, Project Management, and Homestay Recruitment) plus a Quarterly Commission Pay (up to 15%+ of annual base salary).

Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday to Friday flexible day-time schedule, regular schedule includes evenings. Occasional weekends as needed.

 

Travel:

Willingness to travel to, around and within assigned territories Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Availability to work regular evenings and occasional weekends (i.e. in-person or virtual house visits, calls, new host family orientations, school/community events, etc. Reliable transportation and valid Driver's license required. Some overnight travel may be necessary. Occasional trips to Derby, CT HQ for meetings.

 

Work Location:

Remote (with onsite office attendance required during initial onboarding/training and occasional onsite meetings). This position requires travel within assigned territories and being on-the-road.
