Title: Marketing Automation & Business Development Intern
Location: Columbus, Ohio or Remote
Type: Part-Time Internship (up to 20 hours a week)
Duration: 12 weeks
Compensation: $20/hour
This is NOT an internship at Rev1 Ventures. This is an internship at SureImpact, a Portfolio Company of Rev1 Ventures and a startup that we support. Again, this is not an internship at Rev1 Ventures.
Description
Join us for a 12-week paid internship designed to let you apply your classroom learnings to real-world challenges. SureImpact is a technology firm devoted to empowering nonprofits and government agencies to manage, measure, and communicate their unique social impact. We are a small (but mighty) team working to help organizations use data to prove their clients are better off because of the work they are doing.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in B2B marketing automation and business development and have fun doing it. You will work closely with our director of marketing, a seasoned marketing professional and mentor. This is a position where the more you care about making social impact, the more successful you will be. Ideal candidates will be highly productive and motivated while working from either our headquarters or your own professional home-based office environment.
This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing automation and business development.
What You Will Learn
- How to build and optimize marketing automation workflows using HubSpot.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems, email marketing, and analytics tools.
- Business development tactics including outbound prospecting, partnership outreach, and market research.
- How to collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, and customer success teams.
- Strategies for lead generation, nurturing, and conversion in a SaaS environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Help maintain and clean CRM data in Hubspot to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining marketing automation campaigns.
- Collaborate with product and customer success teams to gather accurate information and maintain helpful product knowledge base articles in HubSpot.
- Conduct research to identify potential leads, partners, and market opportunities.
- Support the creation and scheduling of email campaigns, newsletters, and drip sequences.
- Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives.
Your Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Comfortable learning new software tools quickly.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
