Operations & Middle Office Intern, New York

 

Our Operations and Middle Office teams are responsible for all aspects of trade processing and position maintenance, including trade confirmation, reconciliation with prime brokers, cash management, calculation of trading P&L, and marking of positions. Additionally, Operations serves as the primary contact for all prime brokerage relationships and business owners for the Firm’s books and record systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Confirm and reconcile trades with Prime Brokers and counterparties across all asset classes, ensuring operational accuracy and timely settlement.
  • Investigate and resolve trade data discrepancies to maintain data integrity and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage trading positions, including accurate valuation, reporting, and adjustments for corporate actions such as dividends, stock splits, and mergers.
  • Track and manage cash positions at banks, ensuring timely completion of wires and supporting cash flow monitoring for trade settlements.
  • Collaborate with trading businesses and Core Infrastructure teams to support firm-wide initiatives and improve workflows.

 

Qualifications:

  • Candidates graduating between December 2026 and June 2028.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and reconcile complex data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, including knowledge of asset classes such as equities, fixed income, commodities, and derivatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with tools like (e.g., VBA, Python) is preferred but not required

 

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future.
