Content Video Editor

The Hopeful Strategist is a growing lifestyle and strategy brand led by a kinship caregiver, content creator, and advocate. 


We produce empowering content to help people rebuild after grief, burnout, and life disruptions — with a focus on soulful strategy, storytelling, and identity. 
We're seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Video Editor to join our content team.

**Location:** Remote (Preferred: EST-based or DC area)  
**Time Commitment:** 5–10 hours/week  
**Compensation:** Stipend or credit (project-dependent)

**Responsibilities:**
- Edit 2–3 short-form videos weekly for TikTok/Instagram
- Prep and edit YouTube videos (typically under 10 mins)
- Add transitions, captions, overlays, and music (CapCut preferred)
- Maintain visual consistency and storytelling alignment
- Collaborate with our creative assistant on weekly content planning

**Ideal Qualifications:**
- Experience using CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere, or InShot
- Strong sense of narrative and pacing
- Organized and able to meet content deadlines
- Passionate about storytelling, digital media, and impact-driven brands

**Bonus:**
- Experience with YouTube thumbnails or video SEO
- Interest in healing, lifestyle, and content strategy
