Portfolio Manager
The Portfolio Manager will manage components of the political department including candidate recruitment, candidate services, endorsement process, action series and political engagement with signature events. Manage a portfolio of 30-60 active candidates annually, including new first-time candidates, incumbents, and those who have run for office previously.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Candidate Recruitment: identify recruitment targets and strategy, partner with organizations to identify candidates, create and support a deep bench of candidates
- Candidate Services: one-to-one coaching with candidates and campaign staff, connect candidates to Women Winning’s toolkit and training specialist
- Endorsement Process: inform and guide the endorsement process in partnership with Executive Director and PAC chairs (collecting applications, scheduling screenings, coordinating communications), develop and update endorsement materials (application, screening questions, matrix) and support candidates in preparation for screenings
- Action Series: develop and implement an organizing program for targeted candidates, including communications, volunteers outreach, and hand-off to campaigns
- Political Engagement at Signature Events: relationship management with portfolio at Women Winning’s signature events (Annual Luncheon, Wine, Chocolate & Choice, Men & Allies, etc.) including ticket sales, program speakers, memos, candidate procession, volunteers, and active engagement with the WW team
- Campaign Finance Compliance and Reporting: keep detailed and accurate records of all PAC contributions and disbursements, ensure reports are filed in a timely manner
- Annual Report Card: create an annual report of accomplishments related to portfolio

- Outgoing, friendly personality with the ability to hold others accountable
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team approach, written and verbal communication
- Political campaign and/or elected leadership experience
- Strong organizational skills with solutions-centered mindset
- Commitment to the mission of Women Winning
- Must be able to coordinate transportation in the metro area.
Hours: Full Time, regular business hours, occasional night and weekend commitments
Compensation: $40,000-$50,000 based on experience/education, benefits package
Primary Work Location: In-person. St. Paul, Minnesota office, offsite as needed
