Police Officer
The Auburn Police Department is a progressive and professional law enforcement organization with 55 sworn officers and 7 civilian employees. The department has a proud tradition of honor, excellence, loyalty and professionalism and is a nationally and state-accredited law enforcement agency.
Minimum Requirements
- All applicants must be high school graduates or have passed a high school equivalency exam. Applicants must be 21 years of age, or 20 with at least 60 college credits.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Valid Driver's License
- No Criminal Convictions
- Be able to pass the Physical Agility Test (PAT) administered by the Maine Criminal Justice Academy
- Pass an Entrance Exam administered by the Auburn Police Dept.
- College Degree preferred but not required
