Legislative Internship - Spring 2026
Legislative Internship job description – spring 2026
Hannah IndianaNet (a division of Hannah News Service-Midwest) is offering a unique internship opportunity in the legislative arena. Most legislative internships require full-time, semester long commitments. Hannah IndianaNet will consider interns able to work as few as 10 hours per week up to 40 hours per week. The experience, regardless of hours worked, will last a lifetime and has - for many - served as a foot-in-the-door to a career in government affairs.
The Hannah internship experience
Interns with Hannah IndianaNet will learn the legislative process first-hand while covering the meetings where laws and policy are debated.
Hannah as your gateway
Hannah IndianaNet has designed this opportunity with input from the most prominent law firms and government affairs professionals in Indiana. These include Bose Public Affairs Group, Ice Miller, Faegre Drinker and The Corydon Group. In addition to helping build the program, these firms have agreed to provide interviews and strong consideration to any successful participant in the Hannah program who applies for a subsequent legislative internship with their firm.
Former Hannah News interns are currently working at the highest levels of public affairs in both the public and private sectors. Four of our interns have been hired by Hannah News as full-time employees.
