Director – Deal Sourcing & Strategic Outreach

 

Job Description:
We are seeking a Director – Deal Sourcing & Strategic Outreach to lead and expand our origination efforts targeting owners and executives of small and mid-sized companies in the plastics, packaging, and chemicals industries. This is a senior-level, outreach-driven role focused on generating high-quality leads and opening new client relationships through direct outreach.

This role is not focused on financial analysis or transaction execution. The primary responsibility is developing and managing outreach strategies, building a consistent pipeline of potential sell-side clients, and working closely with senior leadership to convert qualified leads into mandates.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute targeted outreach campaigns to identify and engage business owners exploring a sale or strategic options
  • Develop and refine messaging strategies for email, phone, and marketing initiatives
  • Own the lead generation process from sourcing and outreach to qualification and initial relationship-building
  • Build and manage prospect lists in coordination with internal databases and market intelligence
  • Set up and participate in introductory calls with prospective clients alongside senior bankers
  • Collaborate with marketing and analytics teams on strategic initiatives and campaign effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate and organized CRM records and follow-up schedules
  • Represent the firm with professionalism, discretion, and strategic insight

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in deal sourcing, business development, B2B sales, recruiting, or related outreach-driven roles
  • Prior experience sourcing M&A leads or high-level B2B executive contacts is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, journalism, communications, or a similar discipline
  • Exceptional communication skills — must be fluent in spoken and written English
  • Proven ability to speak confidently and credibly with C-level executives and business owners
  • Track record of generating and nurturing B2B leads that resulted in client engagements or transactions
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, email platforms, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Note: This role is focused on client origination and outreach only, not investment banking execution or financial analysis. Candidates seeking analyst or execution-focused roles will not be considered.
