Literacy Coaches
Position: Literacy Coaches (3)
Location: Elementary, Middle, and High School- Adena Local Schools
General Description:
The Literacy Coach(s) will support the implementation of Ohio’s Comprehensive Literacy State Development Grant. The coach will guide educators in applying evidence-based literacy strategies aligned with Ohio’s Plan to Raise Literacy Achievement and the science of reading, with a focus on improving literacy outcomes for all students.
Qualifications:
Valid Ohio teaching license (K–12, Reading Endorsement preferred)
Minimum 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience in reading/language arts
Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based literacy instruction and the science of reading
Experience working with diverse student populations, including students from low-income backgrounds

Hours: This is a grant-funded position contingent upon continued funding through the Comprehensive Literacy State Development Grant (4-year grant period).
