Position: Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher
This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about individualized education and ready to take on a leadership role. As part of the Education Team, you’ll supervise and support a group of Instructional Assistants and Paraprofessionals while planning and delivering effective programming for students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support Instructional Assistants and Paraprofessionals.
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Provide direct instruction aligned with student needs and IEP goals.
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies based on data and student progress.
Collaborate with school districts, families, and service providers.
Assist with onboarding, initial assessments, and individualized student programming.
Participate in team meetings, training, and department planning.
Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and programming.
Support students’ transition to adult services, where applicable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.
Valid Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist License.
Experience working with K–12 students and/or individuals with I/DD preferred.
Experience with IEP development and progress monitoring is a plus.
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
Must pass background check and drug screening.
Must maintain required DODD and safety certifications, including First Aid/CPR.
Valid driver’s license with fewer than six (6) points.
