Paralegal/Investigator
Levy Firestone Muse LLP is seeking a Paralegal/Investigator for our Washington, DC office. Our firm is a premiere boutique litigation and investigations firm with matters that regularly make headlines, and many that do not, in the areas of white-collar criminal defense, congressional investigations, other government investigations, internal investigations, general litigation, and whistleblower representation. Some of our attorneys’ representative matters include:
- representing companies and individuals in congressional investigations, including inquiries into the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol, the Covid-19 pandemic, Russia’s interference in the 2016 US election, Benghazi, Operation Fast & Furious, and many other subject matters;
- conducting an investigation on behalf of the government of Rwanda into the role of the French government in connection with the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda;
- representing Paula Broadwell, a biographer of General David Petraeus and a war correspondent, in a U.S. Department of Justice criminal investigation that resulted in no charges against her;
- working with a team of attorneys on behalf of Dinesh Thakur, in his landmark False Claims Act case against Ranbaxy, producing the largest drug safety settlement against a generic drug company in U.S. history; and
- helping some of the most important crypto whistleblowers to date expose civil and criminal violations to federal agencies.
Our Paralegal/Investigators conduct open-source research, review investigative documents, interview witnesses, and draft memos summarizing their research. They are incorporated into our legal teams to understand the issues at stake and support the legal work.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer, quickly discerns important facts, enjoys unravelling mysteries, and has the flexibility to adjust quickly to shifting priorities and to conduct occasional ministerial or repetitive work.
We require an undergraduate degree (class of 2025 is acceptable) and a two-year commitment from successful applicants.
We will review applications and schedule interviews on a rolling basis. The earlier you apply, the more likely you are to receive an interview.
