Communications Intern
Are you looking for a career in Marketing &/or Communications? Do you have an interest in philanthropy and nonprofits? If so, apply to become a York County Community Foundation (YCCF) intern to gain valuable hands-on experience while enhancing your skills and knowledge. By the end of your internship, you will have accumulated a portfolio of marketing and communications collateral to assist with future job prospects.
Communications Interns will work directly with YCCF's Communications Coordinator and Vice President of Communications & Culture.
Interns will learn about the nonprofit sector; the importance of donor/client attraction and retention; organizational structure, culture, and operations of an office setting; database management using Foundant Technologies to update contacts in our cloud-based software management system; create and edit written content for our website and marketing materials; research marketing and communications tools to explore best practices with AI and graphic design software; support the communications team during events; be introduced to professionals in the field that develop high-quality videography and advertising campaigns; and learn new skills.
Collaboration, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills are a must. Intern must demonstrate a strong ethical understanding of security and confidentiality when working in the database.
