Jona MBA Marketing Intern – Strategic Growth & Brand Development
Location: Remote | Start Date: Fall Semester 

Jona is seeking a driven and analytical MBA Marketing Intern to join our growing team and support key strategic marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for an MBA student passionate about health and wellness, consumer behavior, and data-informed decision-making. You’ll work directly with our Chief Commercial Officer and cross-functional stakeholders to help scale our marketing efforts and accelerate growth across acquisition.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a mission-driven digital health startup, while gaining hands-on experience in brand marketing in a high-growth environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support lifecycle marketing and CRM initiatives that drive user acquisition and engagement (e.g., email flows, SMS campaigns) with emphasis on B2B growth.
  • Assist with strategic influencer partnerships, including influencer identification, recruitment, contract negotiation, and execution. 
  • Evaluate untapped SEO opportunities and contribute to SEO content creation and organic traffic acquisition.
  • Identify and evaluate new strategic partnerships (e.g., with wellness brands, clinics, etc) to expand brand reach.
  • Support other marketing initiatives such as one-off webinars with brand partners, landing page testing, paid acquisition, and podcast partnerships.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Current MBA student with a concentration in Marketing, Strategy, or General Management.

     
  • 2–4 years of prior experience in consulting, brand management, growth marketing, or business operations—ideally in consumer, wellness, healthcare, or tech industries.

     
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill insights into compelling narratives.

     
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and collaborative startup environment.

     
  • Passion for gut health, digital health, or consumer wellness brands is highly valued.
