Materials Runner
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Materials Runner to join our team at PRQ Exteriors and ensure the smooth operation of our construction projects. As a Materials Runner, you will play a crucial role in facilitating efficient workflow by picking up and delivering materials, coordinating with crews/management, and upholding safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Pickup and Delivery: Pick up materials required for builds on the day of construction to ensure crews have the necessary products to complete their work efficiently. Additionally, drop off "dry-in" materials the day before a build to streamline the construction process.
- Inventory Management: Check materials delivered by distributors to ensure accurate counts and quality.
- Support: Assist Quality Assurance Representatives with ladder sets and pickups for inspections.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to PRQ safety protocols to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries on-site. Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns promptly to management and the safety officer.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with construction crews, management, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
-Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, or kneel for extended periods
Work Environment:
- Hours = Monday-Friday 7am-3pm
- Field- based role with frequent travel to residential properties
- Exposure to outdoor elements, including inclement weather
Experience:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and record keeping
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various locations as needed.
