Bookkeeper with Payroll Processing Support

 

Job Title: Bookkeeper (with Payroll Processing Support)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and support payroll processing functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries

Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a regular basis

Assist with the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and statements

Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner

Support payroll processing activities, including time tracking, data entry, and verifying employee hours and deductions

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements

Collaborate with HR or external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll submission

Maintain and organize financial documentation and records for audit readiness

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role

Familiarity with payroll processes and regulations is preferred

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
