Product Stewardship Expert
The Product Stewardship Expert ensures compliance with NORAM regulatory requirements and supports the marketability of Archroma’s products, raw materials, and traded goods. This role is responsible for implementing the regional Product Stewardship (PS) strategy, maintaining regulatory databases, securing product certifications, and supporting cross-functional teams in achieving chemical compliance and sustainability goals.
- Define and lead Product Stewardship goals and targets for the NORAM region.
- Align regional PS initiatives with global strategies, marketing objectives, and sustainability goals.
- Maintain and update product safety data in SAP-EHS and other regulatory systems.
- Conduct hazard assessments, chemical classifications, and author Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels for assigned countries and languages.
- Lead chemical registrations and regulatory reporting in coordination with global PS and local authorities.
- Collaborate with innovation, sales, marketing, procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure chemical compliance.
- Provide timely and effective responses to customer inquiries regarding chemical safety, eco-labels, food contact assessments, and health impacts.
- Assess product compliance with market and application standards.
- Secure certifications such as FDA, ecolabels, and customer-specific or brand requirements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of PS tools and databases (e.g., SAP-EHS, The Safe Edge, Salesforce).
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of product safety information and customer communications.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product stewardship and regulatory compliance within a multinational chemical company.
- At least 2 years of experience in the paper, packaging, or specialty chemicals industry, with a strong understanding of reaction chemistry and application technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of chemical regulations and compliance standards in the NORAM region.
- Proficiency in SAP-EHS and regulatory databases.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving.

Location:
4 days per week on site in our Charlotte, NC, office and 1 day remote
