Venue Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Venue Coordinator to join The Grant Collection and to oversee the operations of our Emerson Lounge venue and ensure a seamless experience for guests and staff alike. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in hospitality or restaurant management, and a passion for creating memorable events. This role requires excellent organizational abilities and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest services while managing day-to-day operations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of venue operations, including staffing, event set-up, venue organization and cleanliness.
  • Monitor and order necessary venue supplies (cleaning, event essentials, etc.)
  • Manage shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels for peak times.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Coordinate with event staff to ensure the successful execution of events.
  • Prepare reports on venue and staff performance.
  • Lead training sessions for Venue Assistants on service standards and operational protocols.
  • Supervise and train Venue Assistants on venue policies and events.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the venue at all times.
  • Serve as a point of contact for venue vendors and guests and troubleshoot issues quickly and professionally

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant or venue management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with events management processes and best practices.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by event schedules (1-2 weekend event shifts a month are required).
  • A background as an assistant manager or in shift management is advantageous.
  • Exceptional guest service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences for patrons.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
