Social Media Content Intern

Social Media Content Intern (Part-Time, 5-8 hrs/week)

Employer: PryorHealth — Plastic Surgeons of Akron
Worksite: On-site in Akron, OH (with some remote editing time)

Position Snapshot

Join the PryorHealth marketing team as a Social Media Content Intern for our Plastic Surgeons of Akron location and turn your TikTok/Instagram skills into real-world experience. You’ll spend 5–8 hours per week capturing and editing short-form video and photo content that highlights patient journeys, provider expertise, and behind-the-scenes moments for our Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. On-Site Content Capture

    • Film vertical video and stills of procedures, provider spotlights, and behind-the-scenes moments using a phone-first production kit.

  2. Editing & Post-Production

    • At the Social Media Director’s request, you’ll periodically turn raw footage into platform-ready Posts, Reels, TikToks, Stories, and Shorts—adding engaging cuts, captions, audio, and light motion graphics while strictly following brand guidelines and HIPAA requirements. As your editing skills shine, you’ll earn more chances to handle full, end-to-end post creation.

  3. Publishing Support

    • Organize footage, draft caption ideas, and coordinate scheduling with the Social Media Director.

  4. Trend Monitoring & Ideation

    • Track trending audio, effects, and formats; pitch fresh weekly concepts to keep Plastic Surgeons of Akron’s content current and engaging.

  5. Collaboration & Logistics

    • Liaise with providers and front-office teams to secure filming windows and patient consents; maintain clear communication on shoot calendars and deliverable timelines.]

Ideal Candidate

  • Current undergraduate (marketing, communications, film, or related) graduating 2026 or later.
  • Portfolio or active social accounts showcasing short-form video storytelling and quick-cut editing.
  • Comfortable filming in a clinical/medical-spa setting and directing on-camera talent.
  • Familiar with mobile/desktop editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Rush/Premiere) and basic analytics dashboards.
  • Reliable, self-directed, and able to work one short on-site block per week plus remote editing.
