COMMERCIAL (Marketing) INTERN
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Amports’ Commercial team is seeking an Intern for the Fall 2025 semester. The Commercial team is responsible for direct customer interaction, contract negotiation and management, new business generation in the areas of automotive supply chain and in adjacency revenue opportunities. Intern will assist the Commercial team with data and analytics research and reporting, market data gathering and presentation development. Intern will also have tasks related to our Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application. Additionally, the Commercial team leads media, advertising and communication for Amports through our Communications Manager. Intern will assist with website updates / revisions and overall content creation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Study and skills development in overall business applications and strategy; specifically, as it pertains to finished vehicles supply chain operations
- Focused efforts to employ independent thought and process, development of professional communication and problem-solving skills under direction of senior leaders at Amports
- Gains a full understanding of AMPORTS, each intern will be given a full review of the business, including time spent in multiple functional areas
- Receives training in functions and operations of assigned and related department(s)
- Observes experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of assigned departmental duties
- Assists with day-to-day operation and support in assigned department. Specific tasks to be assigned by direct supervisor
- A master project will be assigned and completed during the internship window. The candidate will provide a full professional presentation to C-Suite management at the end of the internship detailing the project, the development and planning of the task and with a results-oriented summary. This project is designed to provide AMPORTS with idea generation and / or measurables that will allow for gains in operational efficiency, environmental impact improvements or cost savings
POSITION SUMMARY
- Full-time paid internship opportunity
- Durations is 18 weeks – August 11, 2025 to December 19, 2025 (approximately)
- Interns will gain knowledge and experience required for entrance to full-time positions in supply chain-focused and supporting department roles under the direction of an experienced leadership team.
- Interns will be assigned to specific geography and business unit. Effort will be made to give candidate exposure to field-based (non-HQ) operations in effort to provide context and necessary knowledge for project-focused master project.
- These positions are in office/port based. With supervisor’s approval, one work day per week at home may be permitted.

- Possibility for some limited travel within the continental United States
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates must be enrolled in a subject matter relevant degree track program at a 4-year institution of higher learning and have reached the status of at least Junior in good standing on the planned program start date (Fall 2025)
- Consideration will also be given to candidates who have graduated within 12 months of semester program start date
- Preference given to an academic focus on Supply Chain Management in general with degree related study in the fields of Marketing, Finance and IT also strongly encouraged
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills required with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications. Power BI and Salesforce experience also a plus
- Effective interpersonal interaction with a high degree of comfort with a wide range of staff throughout the company
- Comfort working in both small to mid-size groups and in independent settings
Interns are required to adhere to all safety policies and procedures while on site. Safety briefing as required will be given at the beginning of the program by AMPORTS Facility Security Officer.
