Job Summary

Assist with the planning, organizing, managing and promoting of professional development programs that aid in the development of bankers’ careers, ensuring leadership has awareness of current trends and organizations stay aligned with industry regulations. Foster an environment of collaboration and education for OBL staff, industry experts and bankers.

 

The successful candidate will be a highly resourceful, flexible, innovative and enthusiastic individual who possesses the ability to pivot between multiple priorities and program managers, while working with other internal and external stakeholders. The individual must be able to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

Essential Functions

  • Educational program management/event management (40%) – Work with internal and external partners and Education Managers to coordinate direct and indirect offerings.  Manage off-site and on-site event logistics.  Prioritize multiple projects and programs.
  • Database/Technology management (20%) - Leverage the database and available technology to manage, promote and run program components.
  • Program promotion (15%) – Leveraging effective data analysis, identify ideal program participants and develop a strategy for increasing participation numbers to meet or exceed budgeted projections. Assist Director of Communications to create program brochures and marketing materials including promotions for weekly and quarterly OBL communications. 
  • Provide member bank support (10%) – Through emails, phone calls or in-person meetings, aid member bank employees and leadership with questions regarding scheduled programing. Assist with event registration, participant issues, and billing.
  • Project Support (10%) - Support and manage assigned OBL projects and complete project tasks as needed.
  • Budget management (5%) – Strategically plan initiatives to meet budget income and expense targets.  Track and manage event income and expenses.
  • All other necessary duties as assigned

 

Experience

  • Required
    • College degree with demonstrated project work individually and with a team. This position is a foundational position that will allow the right candidate to build their program management skills in a respected industry.
    • One year of project management, event coordination, or administrative assistance experience
    • One year of customer service or sales experience

 

  • Preferred
    • One to three years of banking experience
    • One to three years training or educational program development

  • Basic facilitation, research, analysis, budget development, emotional intelligence and sales skills 
  • Intermediate time management, decision making, project management, communication, Microsoft Office, database, and collaboration skills
  • Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Customer service

 

Education

Associate or bachelor’s degree 

 

FLSA Status

Full-time, exempt

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience with an expected salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000 per year with additional incentive and bonus opportunities based on individual performance and company goals
  • 35-hour workweek

Conditions

  • Some programs may start or finish outside of normal working hours
