Position Overview:
As a planning associate you will work closely with senior advisors and clients to deliver comprehensive solutions. You will have the opportunity to develop your expertise in all areas of planning including cash flow, tax planning, retirement and education planning, estate planning, risk management, etc. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a passion for helping others, and a strong desire to develop their skills in a client-focused, team-oriented setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team and clients to provide and execute financial planning services including; cash flow, retirement, tax and estate planning, insurance analysis, and investment management for our clients with the following responsibilities:
    • Prepare the client’s financial plan on the industry leading Right Capital software.
    • Implement the client’s plan by executing various tasks to keep them on track.
    • Monitor and execute client’s investment allocations held at Fidelity, Schwab, 401k’s and 529’s in the industry leading Advyzon software, based on the firm’s time-tested investment approach.
    • Annualize a client’s paystub to ascertain if their tax withholding is sufficient and if they are contributing the right amount to their 401k.
    • Create a tax planning projection to avoid any client surprises on April 15th using the industry leading Holistiplan tax planning software. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in financial planning or a related field (internships, entry-level positions, or relevant coursework are fine). We will provide training.
  • Interest in investments is a plus.
  • A positive attitude with a strong focus on teamwork and client service.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a “geeky” enthusiasm for financial details and data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (we work as a team for our clients and each other; we all have to be team players!).
  • Series 65 license, we will compensate and sponsor. 
  • Willingness to pursuit CFP or FPQP credential.
