Blog Writer Intern
Lovability is looking to hire a talented, self-motivated individual to write a bi-weekly blog for publication on our online platform. Topics include exploring themes around sex, sexual health / wellness, pleasure, feminism, current events, trends, etc. We also encourage the intern to explore and write about areas of personal interest or experiences. This position is remote.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the internship, you will:
- Gain first-hand experience of the sexual health industry
- Create compelling blog content for Lovability’s online platform, amplified on social channels and email community, with personal bylines as the author
- Develop a deeper resonance with and understanding of Lovability’s audience
- Access and present data analytics and future content recommendations
- Learn to bring Lovability’s brand voice and positioning to life, acting as a consumer ambassador for the brand
Responsibilities:
- Research ideas, news, and trends for a potential blog (or series of blogs) focused on sexual health, empowerment, and related topics, including conducting surveys of the Lovability audience via email and social channels
- Identify credible sources, and organize and conduct interviews
- Draft an outline for each proposed blog and, with feedback, write blog articles for submission
- Fact-check, copy edit, review, and update existing blogs, as may be requested
- Gather data and monthly reporting on blog performance, identifying and optimizing those blogs which are trending, gaining readership, and/or driving traffic (or sales)
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is creative, has a good sense of humor, and has a keen interest in exploring and writing about sex / sexual health for a mission-driven organization such as Lovability.
- Candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Human Sexuality, Creative Writing, Communications, or a related field
- Ability to multitask with excellent follow-through and task completion
- Ability to promptly meet and maintain deadlines
- Problem solver, able to work independently to produce quality results
- Exceptional research, writing, and editing skills, and meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with interviewing and search engine optimization (SEO) is a plus
Salary: $18/hour
