Role Summary

We’re looking for a part-time Marketing Director to lead Pretty Mafia’s growth strategy. You’ll plan and execute campaigns, elevate our ambassador presence, and drive traffic, visibility, and conversions — all while working directly with the brand’s founder and creative team. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape a Black-owned beauty brand from the inside out.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

• Develop and manage monthly marketing calendars (launches, content drops, promos)

• Define short-term and long-term brand growth goals

• Review analytics and adjust based on performance

Campaign Execution

• Coordinate the rollout of new visuals, content, and ambassador-driven campaigns

• Guide social media strategy with content direction (Instagram/TikTok)

• Oversee caption planning, story highlights, CTA prompts, and creative performance

Influencer & Ambassador Marketing

• Manage Pretty Mafia’s ambassador posting strategy and partnerships

• Build influencer relationships to extend brand visibility

• Track performance and ROI from ambassador content

Email, SMS & Light Paid Strategy

• Oversee or support basic email/SMS flow strategies (drops, restocks, features)

• Coordinate with platform specialists or freelancers if needed

• Propose light ad strategy if budget permits

You Are

• Strategic, creative, and proactive — you make things happen without waiting for direction

• Comfortable working in early-stage environments (lean team, fast pace, high impact)

• Familiar with hair, beauty, fashion, or Black-owned eComm culture

• Experienced with IG/TikTok marketing and influencer campaigns

Requirements

• 2–4+ years in digital marketing, growth strategy, or brand campaign planning

• Experience with eCommerce and content-driven growth (beauty/hair industry preferred)

• Familiarity with social media analytics, email/SMS platforms (Klaviyo, Postscript, etc.)

• Strong communication skills and ownership mindset

• Portfolio required to be considered for this role
