Account Executive, Ticket Sales

Join our sales team focused on driving ticket revenue for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Oklahoma City Blue! As an Account Executive, you will sell across all ticketing options, including group sales, full and partial season packages, and premium seating. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on relationship-building, communication, and delivering excellent service. You will proudly represent the organization as an ambassador of the Thunder brand and champion of basketball, helping create an unforgettable atmosphere at Thunder and Blue home games.

 

In this role you will:

  • Represent the department at all Thunder home games by networking with prospective clients, fulfilling group obligations, answering questions at the sales booth, and providing excellent service to current clients
  • Prospect, promote, and sell ticket packages to increase home game attendance
  • Build connections in the community to create new business opportunities; attend team events to broaden connections with current and potential clients
  • Generate new business through cold calling, off-site appointments, networking, participation in community, and team events
  • Sell concert and event inventory upon request
  • Develop relationships that encourage repeat business and excellent service
  • Meet pre-determined sales and activity goals; accurately document sales calls, appointments, and transactions using CRM software
  • Manage pre-assigned portfolio of accounts that may include partial season ticket plans, group events, and premium hospitality rentals
  • Attend daily morning sales meeting to collaborate and share ideas
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you will bring to the role:

  • 2-4 years of sales experience in professional sports strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with confidence presenting to diverse groups
  • Experience selling/managing group events and experiences is preferred
  • Strong interest in connecting with high-level business executives and community leaders to collaborate, ideate, and develop opportunities around Thunder ticket products
  • Ambitious and assertive team player, with a proven ability to meet both personal and team goals
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable, but not required
  • Exceptional work ethic and strong desire to succeed while maintaining the utmost integrity
  • Creative thinker capable of generating original and imaginative solutions to support business growth

 

Additional details:

Work schedule will include office hours as well as events and home games on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Primary work location is the Thunder corporate office located in downtown Oklahoma City. Physical requirements may include lifting up to 30 pounds and navigating stairs. Game night atmosphere can involve loud music, crowd noise, and flashing or strobe lighting. This is full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Sales Team Lead.
