
Administrative & Personal Assistant
DogSpeak is a growing canine behavior and training company located on a 13-acre sheep ranch in Tallahassee, FL. Founded by Elizabeth Snyder, a Training Without Conflict Certified Professional Dog Trainer, we help families create strong, respectful relationships with their dogs through science-based, compassionate training.
We are seeking an experienced Administrative & Personal Assistant to support our team and founder directly. This is a Full-Time, On and off site role that involves both administrative duties and animal care in a dynamic, growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer phones and emails promptly and professionally
Welcome clients and ensure they have an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive
Manage scheduling, client communication, and calendar coordination
Update website content (Squarespace) and assist with marketing efforts
Handle bookkeeping with QuickBooks and organize records using Excel/Google Sheets
Assist with event and training logistics
Provide personal and administrative support to the founder
Help with daily animal care and general upkeep of the facility
Provide excellent customer service to clients
Learn and adapt to new software tools to improve workflow and operations
Required Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience in an administrative or client service role
Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel/Google Sheets, and Squarespace
Reliable transportation and punctuality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on feet for up to 8 hours a day
Comfortable working with dogs and other animals
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Willing to work mornings, rotating weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the client service or hospitality industries
Experience in animal care industry
Familiarity with social media scheduling tools
Quick to learn new software and tools
