The Role

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about digital content, social media, and helping local businesses thrive. You will play a key role in expanding our online presence and enhancing the value we provide to our advertisers and readers across various digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management:

Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content across our social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, youtube).

Monitor social media trends and audience engagement, identifying opportunities for growth.

Respond to comments and messages, fostering community interaction.

Website Content & SEO Support:

Assist with updating and maintaining content on 101Things.com, including blog posts, event listings, and advertiser features.

Support basic SEO efforts to improve online visibility for our content and advertisers.

YouTube Channel Support:

Collaborate on video content creation, including brainstorming ideas, assisting with scriptwriting, and supporting video promotion.

Optimize video titles, descriptions, and tags for discoverability.

Track video performance and audience engagement on YouTube.

Email Marketing:

Assist in the creation and scheduling of email newsletters to our subscriber base, highlighting local attractions, events, and advertiser specials.

Help manage and segment email lists.

Digital Ad Management:

Support the placement and proofing of digital ads across our website and digital magazine.

Ensure advertiser content is optimized for various digital formats.

Analytics & Reporting:

Track and report on key digital marketing metrics (e.g., website traffic, social media engagement, video views) to inform strategy.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the sales, editorial, and design teams to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated campaigns.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field.

Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Basic knowledge of video content creation and promotion is a significant plus.

Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms is a bonus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

A passion for local tourism, community engagement, and discovering new experiences.
